Ritual Dance
This work was composed in 2012 as part of my 7 movement “Images Suite” inspired by artwork from the Memorial Art Gallery collection in Rochester, NY. This Latin genre composition starts with a slow and ethereal English horn and flute duet over a primitive percussion sequence and builds to a lyrical and majestic orchestra tutti. A modulation to a driving and energetic call and response section leads to an exciting ending.
